Under the Mobile Homes Act 1983, you must enter into a written agreement with the park owner to live on his site.

It does indeed. The Mobile Homes Act 1983 gives owners of park homes security of tenure – and that is probably its single most important safeguard. It also gives the owner the right to sell the home, and the right to leave it to certain members of the family.

There is no Stamp Duty to be paid when purchasing a park home.

10% Commission is payable to the park owner on all re-sales. You can download the forms online or request them from us, your buyer will pay you 90% of the agreed sale price and us 10% as the commission.

Prices vary according to the home’s size, quality of fittings and furnishings, type of park and where it is. Values move in line with the UK property market.

You will still have to pay council tax, although most parks fall into the lowest tax band. On top of this, you will also pay rent to the park owner on a weekly or monthly basis.

Children are allowed to stay over but can not live on the site.

Dogs are allowed but can only be replaced at the park owner’s discretion.

Our residential parks are very much communities where no-one need suffer the sense of isolation so often felt by people in retirement. Individual privacy is, of course, respected, as it would be anywhere. Other members of the family living elsewhere also have peace of mind from the knowledge that our parks are semi-sheltered environments with resident managers to provide additional security.
